Went there last week. Thoroughly enjoyed myself. Maybe that is because someone else picked up the check.
I had Bowmore Dusk, Bowmore 25, Caol Ila 27. Dusk was my favorite. But might have to try them again just to be sure, ;)
tried Airigh Nam Biest, Ichmurrin 16 (great smell, no taste) and Hedonism (disgusting, tasted like Malibu Rum. Whoever makes that stuff should be shot).
Went back on Friday but way over crowded and saw a bunch of wankers with mixed drinks. Weekday seems like a better bet.

More outside of what I expected. I have had Caol Ila 12 and Bowmore 12, which are different than their aged counterparts, yes, but the smell or nose of Dusk was unexpected, so more different from my previous Bowmore experience than my previous Caol Ila experience. -

Tue, February 19, 2008 - 11:49 PMThanks.. I like the Bowmore.. but like the Coal Ila better because it (I think) has subtle and more complex flavour - and beats Bowmore hands down on the nose ! It is like the Talisker 18 (?) single barrel - I can sit there sniffing it for hours !
But all these things are subjective..
I am now officially on the hunt for a "Dusk"..
